Prime Recognition

Field No. 8, February 2010

AIGA nashville amd Logo Lounge

Everyone likes to be recognized. But recognized twice in the first 3 weeks of the new year?! 2010 has started strong for Primarily Rye with two major 'tip-of-the-hats' from industry leading organizations, in addition to our work being featured in a Island Def Jam / Mercury Records video by Jessie James titled, My Cowboy. If you promise not get distracted, you can see our work prominently being displayed here.

The major design publication and online database for brands & identities, Logolounge has published our work in their new book, "Logolounge Master Library Vol. 1, Initials & Crests." The book was released in the first week of February and it sure looks good on our shelf. Learn more about Logolounge here or buy the book through Amazon here.

The Nashville Chapter of AIGA, the leading professional association for designers, has requested that our work be included in the 2009 Annual Report coming out in February. It's a state of the union for the Nashville Chapter, covering chapter growth (over 300+ members), financials and a look back at design in 2009. AIGA Nashville represents some of the top creative talent in Middle Tennessee and has brought world renowned creative speakers to Nashville, impacted programing and strengthening the industry of design and creative services. The organization speaks for design and designers and we are honored to be asked to include our work. Learn more about AIGA Nashville here.

Tapping the Network Keg

Primarily Rye Presents at Barcamp 09'

barcamp nashville

One of our very own Principals, Courtenay Rogers, will be a featured speaker at this year's Barcamp on October 17th. Her topic of choice this year: Networking in Nashvegas. In today's business climate, strong networking techniques are imperative. It's time you brushed up your social savvy and listening skills to get the most out of future opportunities.

Powered-up with fellow feek (feminine geek) Kate O'Neill, they'll share successful networking tips (with a running list of what not to do) for social and networking situations. They've been around the networking block and come prepared to help you navigate the trenches of meeting and greeting in a town full of interesting and influential people. So come out to Barcamp and add some muscle to your networking repertoire.

BarCamp is Nashville's FREE "un"conference for the digital and technical community happening Saturday, October 17th at the Cadillac Ranch in downtown Nashville. BarCamp is open to anyone and has become the premier technology conference in this area, bringing together the best minds and representation of the hottest companies in the internet, entrepreneurial, new media, and software industries. The format is structured to be unstructured, with everyone being encouraged to sign up for any discussion that peaks their interest or to create their own session.

There are over 60 discussions to choose from that include information on starting up a technology business, creating websites and blogs, online marketing, social media and coding to name a few.

You can still sign up to participate. www.barcampnashville.com
